European Social Fund+ Committee Meetings - Technical Working Group and Plenary

The Committee is composed of the European Commission, member states representatives (government, employer’s and worker’s representatives) as well as representatives of the workers' organisations and of the employers' organisations at Union level.

Under Article 163 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union and Article 40 of ESF+ Regulation, the Committee is assisted by working groups in order to provide an adequate forum to discuss implementation of the ESF+ and handle technical aspects of ESF+ programmes implementation.

Agenda highlights

The ESF+ Committee will convene its Technical Working Group on 14–15 April, followed by the Plenary Session on 16 April. Discussions will focus on key implementation aspects of the ESF+ Programmes, alongside new policy developments and strategic recommendations. Particular attention will be given to issues emerging from the new Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), including the application of the social coefficient within the performance framework, as well as support measures for social partners and civil society organisations.
