Media accreditation

The Cyprus presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026 provides an accreditation platform for media representatives wishing to participate in informal events organised in Cyprus.

Accreditation for Meetings in Brussels and Luxembourg

For accreditation to cover meetings held in Brussels and Luxembourg, please visit the accreditation platform of the Council of the EU.

Accreditation for Informal Meetings in Cyprus

Accreditation for Informal Ministerial Meetings, high level and other media-accessible events during the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026 is available exclusively through the official accreditation platform of the Cyprus presidency. Please, follow the instructions provided in the media user guide.

The platform will remain active for the entire Presidency and media representatives may request accreditation for any meetings they wish to attend.  A separate accreditation request must be submitted for each meeting.

Suggestion: Early application is strongly recommended as processing may take up to 7 working days after the accreditation period ends.

There is also a specific application window which opens 5 weeks before a meeting and closes 2 weeks prior to it. During this window, media representatives, who have requested accreditation for a meeting are required to confirm their attendance by filling in the relevant transportation and accommodation details for that meeting on the said platform.
