Working Group on Groundwater

The meeting brings together representatives from EU member states, EFTA countries and the European Commission, as well as relevant stakeholders, to share experience and good practice in the management and protection of groundwater.

Key objectives include reviewing of progress in implementing groundwater-related provisions of the Water Framework Directive and the Groundwater Directive, discussing technical and policy challenges (such as quantitative status and the impact of climate change), and coordinating future CIS work, guidance development and reporting activities.
