Drawing from a curated selection of songs and narratives from the singer's international, Greek and traditional repertoires, "Cypriote" reflects the island’s rich and multilayered cultural identity.
Inspired by Cypriot antiquities and the themes they represent, Alexia crafts a contemporary sonic landscape shaped by imagery, memory, place, language and dialect. Through her distinctive sound, feminine perspective and musical influences – Jazz, Classical, World Music, Traditional, Improvisation – she weaves harmonic and melodic modalities that bridge ancient traditions with modern expression. This musical journey creates a shared emotional experience, a mosaic tapestry, weaving a continuous thread between the ancient world and the present.
"Cypriote" invites audiences to discover Cyprus through sound – deepening their connection to its past, while positioning the island within a global cultural dialogue, ultimately connecting Cyprus with the world.
