Informal COPHS (Chiefs of Plant Health Services) meetings provide a platform for discussing and building consensus on emerging plant health challenges, allowing for flexible and practical exchanges on topics such as emerging risks, risk management, the policy framework and enhanced cooperation, to ensure a comprehensive, harmonized approached to plant health.
These meetings enable plant health leaders to exchange views and share experiences in a more informal way complementing formal COPHS sessions by strengthening cooperation and preparing the groundwork for future official decisions and positions within the EU plant health policy framework.
